These sterling silver dangle earrings feature natural Wampum shell cabochons paired with hand‑crafted silver feather drops. The Wampum shows vibrant purple and white banding carved from the inner lining of the quahog shell, traditionally gathered by Northeastern tribes such as the Wampanoag, Narragansett, Pequot, and Lenape. Each earring measures approximately 1.75 x 0.75 inches, with clean silverwork and balanced movement. Stamped on the back by Navajo artist Darryl Begay, these earrings are made in the USA and reflect his signature blend of traditional Navajo motifs with refined, contemporary craftsmanship.

Wampum carries the medicine of honor, memory, and sacred exchange, once carved into beads and belts that recorded stories, treaties, and accomplishments. The deep purple comes from quahogs that lived in colder, deeper waters, where the shell grows richer and more powerful. Paired with the feather — a symbol of guidance, clarity, and spiritual movement — these earrings feel like a meeting of coast and sky, tradition and intuition. In Lifted work, they’re used for truth, protection, and meaningful gifting, the kind of pieces that carry history, beauty, and intention all at once.
