Maw Sit Sit is a rare, vivid green metamorphic gem first identified in the 1960s by famed gemologist Dr. Edward Gübelin, who named it after the village of Maw Sit Sit in northern Myanmar where it was discovered. Maw Sit Sit is a rare chromium‑rich metamorphic aggregate composed of kosmochlor, jadeite, chromite, chromium‑bearing amphiboles, and trace ureyite woven together in vivid electric‑green patterns.
In alchemy, Maw Sit Sit’s saturated green aligns with the forces of renewal, vitality, and the life‑spark of the heart. Its chromium content links it to Venus and the lush, fertile aspects of Earth magic, while its deep green‑black inclusions connect it to Saturn’s grounding, protective influence. This duality makes it a stone of disciplined growth — the kind that is both inspired and anchored.
People work with Maw Sit Sit when they’re stepping into a new chapter, strengthening their sense of identity, or calling in fresh momentum with clarity and confidence. It’s worn to energize the heart, sharpen intuition. In ritual, it’s used for renewal spells, boundary‑setting, and reconnecting to one’s inner authority — especially during times of reinvention or rapid growth. Its energy is unmistakably Lifted: vibrant, sovereign, and alive with forward motion.
