These Cavansite freeforms are shaped to reveal the natural pocket where the crystals formed — an open cavern carved into the basalt so you can see the full bloom of the mineral inside. The Cavansite grows in tight, electric‑blue spheres that look almost luminous against the soft white and peach tones of Stilbite and Heulandite. The contrast is striking: deep earthy matrix on the outside, a glowing blue world on the inside. Each piece feels like a tiny geological sanctuary, a hidden chamber opened just enough to show the vivid mineral life within.

Cavansite is a relatively rare and striking mineral known for its vibrant blue color. The name “cavansite” is derived from its chemical composition, as it contains calcium (Ca), vanadium (V), and silicon (Si). The mineral is typically found in crystal form, often in association with other minerals such as stilbite or heulandite.

The clusters rise like tiny constellations, each sphere formed slowly in the dark, fed by mineral‑rich water and volcanic heat. There’s something ancient and intimate about the way Cavansite grows — hidden, protected, and then suddenly brilliant — a reminder that some of the brightest things in nature are found only when the earth decides to open a doorway and show us them.
