This large sterling silver Naja pendant features a polished Black Onyx cabochon set in bold, intricate silverwork. The pendant measures approximately 3.75 x 2.25 inches including the bale, and the 0.75‑inch detachable bale allows it to be worn on larger bead strands, pearls, leather, or chains. The silverwork is strong and sculptural, with classic Navajo lines that give the piece presence and weight. Signed on the back by Navajo silversmith Dan Dodson, who is now deceased, this pendant represents collectible work from an artist known for traditional forms, clean execution, and substantial silver designs.

Black Onyx is the ancient night stone, used across cultures as a material of clarity, courage, and shadow‑alchemy — the ability to move through darkness with a steady mind. The Naja’s crescent shape carries an even older lineage: first appearing in the Middle East around Jerusalem as a lunar emblem of protection, renewal, and divine guidance, then moving into Spain through Moorish metalwork before being carried across the ocean and adopted by Indigenous silversmiths, who transformed it into a guardian symbol of their own. Across every culture it touched, the crescent moon represented cycles, intuition, and the power to navigate between light and shadow. Set in silver and anchored by Onyx, this pendant becomes a shield of intention — bold, grounding, and unmistakably powerful. Dan Dodson’s touch adds legacy and depth, turning this piece into more than jewelry; it becomes a modern talisman, a statement of strength, and a reminder of the path you choose to walk.
